Billy Kemp, Co-Founder
Casting Director and Talent Executive, Billy Kemp got his start in entertainment as a researcher for Talk TV. Billy worked his way up as an Associate to a Series Producer on everything from dating and gameshows, to the craziness of MTV Spring Break, and over-the-top prime time wedding specials for FOX. Always having a deft hand with producing and managing talent, Billy segued those skills into running the casting departments for such hit series as Elimidate (Syndication), Wife Swap (ABC), Temptation Island (FOX), and Nanny 911 (FOX). Billy was also tasked with finding hoarders and house flippers for multiple Lifetime series well before those genres became defined and commonplace in alternative TV.
Due to his wealth of experience as both a producer and a casting director on varied network/cable series and pilots, Billy was asked to join the executive team at Fremantle Media as their Head of Casting. Overseeing then-current series casting and booking celebrity talent for the global entertainment company was a daunting task that Billy managed with finesse, and eventually led to him becoming the VP of Talent and Casting. Billy held the position for 10 years where he implemented systems and meetings to find and develop new talent, during which time he put together judging panels, and found hosts and guest celebrities for American Idol (FOX), X-Factor (FOX), The Great Christmas Light Fight (ABC), The Price Is Right (CBS), Let’s Make A Deal (CBS), and America’s Got Talent (NBC).
His next tenure was as the VP of Talent Development for Banijay Studios North America. During his time with BSNA he oversaw casting for all series including Child Support (ABC), The Secret Life of Kids (USA), What Happens At The Abbey (E!), Big Fan (ABC), and was credited as an Executive Producer on the hit VH-1 series Teyana & Iman for his role as Banijay’s Development VP.
Throughout his career he has worked closely with Katie Krim on several projects including Celebrity Family Feud (NBC), Thank God You’re Here (NBC), Million Dollar Password (CBS), and most recently joining forces on the hit series Ex On The Beach for MTV. Billy and Katie’s love of pop culture and celebrity, as well as the relationships they’ve cultivated from 15 plus years working in the business, made partnering together an easy decision. Their combined talents make them ideal to find all the “Persons Of Interest” for your entertainment needs.
